    The Reliability Manager reports to the Maintenance Manager and supervises a team of mechanics and electricians. This position will demonstrate sound people management and utilize technical problem solving and reliability tools to maintain and improve the site’s production equipment, infrastructure, and utilities. Working closely with the reliability staff in other company sites, this position will develop and strengthen best practices including Continuous Improvement and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

    • The Reliability Manager will supervise the mechanics and electricians for the site.
    • This position will work closely with the maintenance planners and maintenance engineering resources to support the Business Units maintenance planning work.
    • Working closely with the Business Unit teams, The Reliability Manager will introduce, implement and strengthen Predictive Maintenance work at the site.
    • A key component to this position is oversight and management of the storeroom inventory.
    • Also, this individual is responsible for bringing in technical resources to train and augment the Reliability efforts.
    • Relevant KPI’s will be developed and managed that track and drive execution of work orders and demonstrate a reduction in unplanned downtime of the equipment.
    • This individual will lead and improve the utilization of the site CMMS system (JDE) for PdM, PM, and Work Order Planning.
    • Working with other resources within the site maintenance team, this individual will develop recommendations for upgrades to the equipment that will improve reliability and throughput of the equipment.


    Required education and related experience

    • A 4 year Degree in Engineering or a related technical field would be highly desirable. Or 8 years of relevant experience would be considered in lieu of degree.
    • Training in the field of reliability engineering and maintenance is preferred.
    • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
    • Must be able to read, write and comprehend basic English.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in converting maintenance, engineering, project management, or production management is preferred.
    • Experience in paper converting is also highly desirable.

    Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):

    • Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance personnel.
    • Functional understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, and world class maintenance is desired.
    • Previous experience using a Computer Maintenance Management System is preferred (e.g. JD Edwards).
    • Must possess analytical troubleshooting skills.
    • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
    • Demonstrate ability to foster Continuous Improvement.
