    The Master Data Analyst is responsible for analysis, validation, and governance of enterprise master data.  The individual should possess the ability to develop, measure, and implement data governance and standards.


    Data Management

    • Contribute to developing data quality rules; including defining, monitoring, alerting, and reporting of rules
    • Understand key business drivers to best support ongoing data maintenance
    • Develop procedural process guides for ensuring data is accurately entered into enterprise systems
    • Perform simple data profiling tasks by analyzing the data in key systems in order to clarify the structure, content, relationships, and derivation of rules
    • Conducts data cleaning to rid systems of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access
    • Provides training and support on master data processes

    Technical Competencies

    • Assist in development and troubleshooting of Master Data workflows, rules, and forms

    • Partner with senior team members to create ad-hoc queries to aid in data analysis, automation of manual tasks, and integrity

    • Configure and maintain Master Data systems, including managing security, patching, upgrades, and tuning

    Process Management

    • Contribute in designing and documenting key data processes and identifying data owners and stewards
    • Design and document business workflows applicable to data processes
    • Recommend data process improvement opportunities
    • Serves as a subject matter expert for one data domain for key leaders, cross-functional teams, and projects to support key business objectives


    Required education and related experience:

    • Associate’s degree required. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Information systems or related discipline preferred
    • Minimum two (2) years of data analysis required
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience with data management and data integrity required
    • Minimum two (2) years’ work experience, preferably in manufacturing or related industry
    • Minimum one (1) year of a Master Data tool experience preferred
    • Minimum two (2) years of SQL Server experience preferred

    Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):

    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, and take the initiative to evaluate and suggest process and system improvements
    • Strong experience/working knowledge of JD Edwards
    • Conceptual understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) principles
    • Intermediate knowledge of database design, structures, and programming
    • Broad knowledge of master data systems/processes/tools
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and process mapping
