    Provide engineering services to develop and implement capital projects.  Responsible for project management, project electrical support and equipment optimization and upgrades. Manage project work to be in compliance with environmental and safety regulations. 

    • Develops cost estimates, plans, and schedules for new projects.
    • Write AFCEs
    • Determine project specifications and justification
    • Compare equipmetn and select manufacturer
    • Prepare request for quotations, evaluate proposals, and issue contracts for equipment purchases, material purchases, design services, and construction contracts.
    • Verify existing equipment layouts and dimensions.
    • Assist with providing engineering analysis during selection and optimization of equipment.
    • Assist with detailed design drawings for equipment installations.
    • Provide technical assistance to trouble-shoot equipment and/or operating problems.
    • Research options and recommend solutions to resolve operating and/or maintenance issues.
    • Coordinate contractor’s activities for contracted-out maintenance work during equipment downtimes.
    • Ensure complete and currentl electrical prints for all machines
    • Maintain documentation for all electrical components used and organize the documents and electrical prints


    Required education and related experience:


    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
    • Manufacturing internship preferred.
    • Project Management experience required.
    • Paper Mill experience preferred. 



    Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, and or Soldiworks.
    • Must have good troubleshooting ability and be a self-starter.
    • Must be intellectually and emotionally connected to the organization and enthusiastic about this type of work. 
    • Ability to quickly learn new programs such as JDEdwards, MS Project, etc.
