  • Overview

    Clearwater Paper is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Sales & Marketing team, located in Spokane, Washington. The Senior Sales Analyst will work to with the Business Development Manager and Sales Management Team to support sales planning and analysis for the Consumer Products Division. The team will look to the Senior Sales Analyst to establish, streamline and improve the sales process by leveraging strong data and analytical skills to identify key insights in market, customer, or operational data. This position will collaborate with cross functional employees and management in order to answer analytical questions, execute department objectives, support key sales growth and customer retention initiatives, and achieve company goals.


    Financial Analysis, Data & Reporting

    • Analyze historical customer information and third party data to identify revenue trends/drivers and business development opportunities.
    • Leverage advanced analytical skills to identify relationships between diverse data sets that provide strategic direction to company initiatives.
    • Develop analytic approaches/reporting as necessary to measure impact of sales growth initiatives. Track progress and identify shortfalls.
    • Provide analytical support as needed to guide project focus and strategy.

    Projects & Strategy

    • Build, launch, and track strategic sales initiatives based on customer target/prioritization analysis and modeling.
    • Help optimize decisions around sales opportunities, promotions, and product development for maximum return on investment.
    • Act as an integral team member for some of the company's strategic projects.
    • Manage project components in conjunction with work stream leaders.
    • Prepare presentations for senior leaders.

    Sales & Operations Planning Support

    • Improve Demand Planning effectiveness and drive forecast accuracy.
    • Represent the sales organization in monthly S&OP alignment meetings.
    • Act as the department lead for customer scheduling and service prioritization based on cost.




    • Bacherlor's degree preferred
    • 3-5 years comparable experience
    • Experience in sales operations, business intelligence, demand planning or equivalent function with significant exposure to a sales team



    • Self-starter with willingness/ability to seek out new approaches/solutions to complex business challenges.
    • High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to influence and effectively work across multiple departmental groups.
    • Must be able to effectively manage multiple high profile projects at one time.
    • High level MS-Office computer skills with excellent excel and powerpoint skills.
