    The Business Alignment Technical Analyst’s role is to assist in planning, developing, launching, and managing basic information technology and operational systems in support of core organizational functions and business operations. This individual will apply good communication, basic analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of Technology investments.  The individual will work with other members of the team to ensure alignment between business needs and technology capabilities.


    • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders, management and end-users
    • Understand how the business uses technology in support of business processing and manufacturing for each of the responsible sites
    • Work in concert with other IT groups to ensure solid support structure and continuity for the business
    • Escalation point from the IT Service Desk for all site specific business user technology incident resolution and request fulfilment
    • Communicate progress on resolutions/fulfilments with business users, service desk, IT personnel and vendors as needed
    • Provide training and guidance to business users on existing and emerging technologies
    • Ensure all technology in responsible facilities are implemented in accordance with safety guidelines
    • Ensure environmental conditions are monitored and reported for optimal technology operations
    • Ensure physical access to all technology is restricted and controlled appropriately
    • Ship and receive technology as necessary
    • Escalation point from network and server technology teams to provide local support of changes, incidents and requests as necessary, that can’t be handled remotely
    • Provide physical maintenance on equipment as required
    • Assist in planning and implementing technology refresh/replacements
    • Participate in virtual project teams for all projects to which assigned
    • Assist in planning and design of technology implementations
    • Implement local technologies and execute changes in accordance with project plans
    • Coordinate with vendor resources as necessary; supervise vendor execution locally for technology implementations to ensure accuracy
    • Assist in developing and executing test scripts/plans for all projects and changes
    • Ensure technical documentation exists for the support of all technologies in use in the facilities for which responsible
    • Maintain facility plans that indicate locations of all technologies within the facilities
    • Create knowledge documentation as necessary for any incident/request that could be handled by the IT Service Desk and ensure they are trained
    • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for all technologies in the facilities as required for safety
    • Prepare training materials as necessary for business users related to technologies which they interface





    Required education and related experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent – required; BS in Information Technology – preferred
    • Three years’ experience in desktop/client support in an environment with a minimum of 100 users – required


    Skills and Abilities (technical/professional skills, expertise and qualifications):

    • Understanding of network switching and wireless access – required; CompTIA Network+ Certification or CCNA of higher Certification – preferred
    • Experience installing, patching, upgrading and troubleshooting Commercial off the shelf Applications, Microsoft Office, Windows Terminal Server, Windows Server 2003, 2008, and/or 2012 required; MCITP, MCSA, MCSE or CompTIA Server+ Certification - preferred
    • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification - preferred
    • Ability to operate remotely as part of a virtual team - required
    • Good technical writing abilities – required
    • Strong verbal communications skills – required
    • Strong time management skills – required
