Serve as liaison between Information Technology (IT) and assigned business functions. Will serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for the assigned business functions to include intake of new request(s), support the design and delivery of systems and/or services, identify and execute on process improvement opportunities. Build and sustain relationships with assigned functions to gain an understanding of the team goals, business plans, and key performance indicators to ensure technology solutions excel business results. This position will support the Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure teams for our corporate IT department. You must have experience managing projects in at least one of the following areas (hardware, software, or networking).


Demand/Portfolio Management

  • Develop an in-depth understanding and experience in business functions that he/she will support.
  • Interpret function business plans to technology team to enable collective organization to meet its goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Management Office (PMO) and internal IT functions to ensure alignment of IT demand and supply for assigned business functions.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple or large projects/programs.
  • Assist in resource planning, cost estimation, budget development, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and provide expertise in determining appropriate solution(s).
  • Assist in defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, business partners and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Support project objectives within the time, cost, and resource constraints of the project.
  • Actively manage and communicate any changes in scope throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Partnership

  • Work with business partners to establish an understanding of the processes and data requirements necessary to implement and sustain new initiatives.
  • Develop roadmaps containing sequencing of IT solutions that work towards the achievement of business strategies.
  • Build requirements, business cases, prioritize requests and streamline various work streams.
  • Quickly able to build strong relationships to be seen as a trusted resource and valuable member of functional team.
  • Provide commitment and cultural awareness to challenge business partners when appropriate.

Analysis and Initiative

  • Interpret internal or external issues and recommend solutions/best practices.
  • Solve complex problems. Take a broad perspective to identify solutions.
  • May interface with vendors and contractors.



  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Information Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing company or similar industry.
  • Minimum 4 years managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in IT/business relationship management.


  • Strong technical and non-technical oral and written communication skills. Fosters open communication by encouraging two-way flow of ideas and opinions.

  • Experience performing business analysis and requirements definition.
  • Experience following a standard project management methodology.
  • Adaptability
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
