To develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Manage the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the pulp and paperboard division.



  • Manage and execute strategic goals for Clearwater PPD marketing annually with assistance from Director of Product Management.
  • Manage and coordinate all Clearwater PPD marketing, product advertising, sales tool support and promotional activities.
  • Provide Clearwater PPD branding and promotional support for the Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
  • Manage and conduct external and internal market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and services to support product improvement and product development initiatives.
  • Mine industry resources continuously for data and information to help provide summary analysis of customer trends, sustainability trends, current market conditions and relevant competitor information.
  • Support Sales and Marketing leadership with marketing presentation PPT decks and content.
  • Manage the A3 project management process on projects assigned by Director of Product Management or Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
  • Manage the reporting of weekly activity and results for marketing and product development initiatives. 
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key sales, quality and operations management groups.
  • Maintain professional internal and external industry contacts.
  • Maintain high visibility for Clearwater Paper via active participation within industry and customer associations.  Attend association functions when possible. 
  • Continuously define and develop print or visual media projects to promote the superior quality, competitive differentiation or sustainable attributes of Clearwater PPD products.
  • Develop sales support materials with third party support as directed by the director of product management and customer service (e.g., customer update media, price increase talking points and customer support materials).
  • Promote a process to standardize communication with the sales team to collect data and information to improve processes, products or marketing support content.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Product Management, Sales Directors, and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to set strategic marketing direction.
  • Perform formalized strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analyses, as well as assist others in doing the same.



  • Bachelors’ degree required, preferably in business administration, marketing or project management.
  • Minimum four (4) years of marketing or project management experience required, preferably with relevant product and industry knowledge.
  • Experience in manufacturing/operations data is helpful


  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing support and strategies to meet organization objectives.
  • Proven experience in customer and market research, and technical marketing skills.
  • Proven personal time management, project management and organization experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent summarization and presentation development skills.
